Went to Moab this weekend and camped by the Colorado River. The boys slept in their own tent with some friends. The above picture is the result of leaving the tent partially unzipped after bathroom breaks. Poor Corbin became thanksgiving dinner for some very lucky mosquitos. He'll be celebrating his 5th birthday this week looking like he's going through puberty.

I'm turning into a grandma. The first place I go to when I visit Walmart now is the yarn section. I browse amongst my silver haired friends trying to find the perfect shade and weight of yarn for my next crochet project. I came across this green color and had to have it. I'm always astonished when we get a big snow storm in the middle of April when the tulips are blooming . I shouldn't be so surprised anymore because it happens year after year. It just seems so odd. Through the dead of winter Damon and I play county rec ball. It keeps us sane and gives us something to look forward to each week. Wednesday we all went to cheer dad on! My favorite was when Ava sporadically yelled "Go" "Fight" "Win". Although Damon is considered the "old man" on the team he played really good and we loved watching him make lots of baskets!

Last weekend Shawna entered a volleyball tournament in Moab. The "Net Masters" did great in the tournament winning over half of their games! They would have done better but a team mate ended up going to the hospital she was so sick. The weather was fantastic. There was plenty of time between the games to explore and just hang out. During Ava's first time up she dropped the ball, kicked it and then chased after it down the alley. Effective but not appreciated by the hired help. Damon started working four 10's this last week. I feel like he's a stranger in our home Monday through Thursday. We now know THE place to go sledding in Carbon County. This hill provides speeds up to 50 mph. Jut ask Cru's friend Kendal. She ended up in the parking lot under a truck. Just jump...Bail ...Bail! OH! OUCH! After a few runs we had people at the bottom designated to stop any runaway sleds.
